To a connector or insert molder - Because V-LINE employ no check ring, there is no pressure spike at the start of the injection phase to close the check ring. Also, we have complete and total shut-off before injection phase. When you couple those truths with the fact that we have state-of-the-art shot size metering control, we have a very repeatable process in which the plastic stream is always account for.
A cushion on the V-LINE system process is at least one order of magnitude more precise than other micro-molding machines, i.e., if the cushion on a conventional reciprocating screw system varies 0.200" +/- 0.030", the V-LINE process varies by 0.200" +/- 0.002". For these reasons, inserts and/or mold cores with miniscule cross sections will not become damaged or displaced during the injection phase.
