The Importance of Back Pressure and How to Set It
Back pressure is one of the least understood molding parameters of the Injection Molding Process. Not setting it correctly can lead to cosmetic defects such as bubbles, splay and dimensional inconsistencies. The talk will start off with the basic explanation of what back pressure is, why is it necessary, continuing on to how to explaining an experimental procedure to set it and ending the talk on a common misconception about the relationship between back pressure and melt temperature.
