The pressure spike at the start of the injection phase to close the check ring is eliminated in the V-LINE system due to our removal of the check ring in its design. We also employ a complete and total shut-off before the injection phase. This, in combination with the state-of-the-art shot size metering control, provides a highly repeatable process in which the plastic stream is always accounted for.
The V-LINE system process tolerances are at least one order of magnitude more precise than other micro-molding machines. For example, if the tolerance on a conventional reciprocating screw system varies 0.200” +/- 0.030”, the V-LINE process varies by 0.200” +/- 0.002”. Therefore, the miniscule cross sections of inserts and/or mold cores will not become damaged or displaced during the injection phase.
